The main template is called Default. Its default value is that it does not contain a barcode or virtual barcode. You will get a barcode for the invoice when you change the invoice template to "Default with barcode". You can do this on the right side of the invoice preview window under Invoice läyout and preview. Or by default under Settings - Invoice settings - Invoice layout.
