Here you can find instructions how to send a payment reminder from an invoice that is overdue. Late penalty fees are added automatically.

How to send a payment reminder?

If the invoice is overdue and you want to send a payment reminder you need to do following: 

  • Open the invoice for which you wish to send the reminder to

  • Click the "Reminders" button in the upper left corner: 

  • Set the preferable Late payment fee and reminder message

  • Send the payment reminder: 

After you have sent the reminder you see a 'bell' icon appearing next to the invoice in the invoice list. This indicates that you have sent at least one payment reminder to that invoice. 

  • You can also sort the invoices using filters in the invoice list: 

When is a good time to send a payment reminder?

To a company 

You can send a payment reminder to another entrepreneur immediately after invoice is overdue. This has not been specifically set by law. Good practice is to send a reminder 5-7 days after invoice is overdue. 

To a person

You can send a reminder to a person also immediately after invoice is overdue. Keep in mind that late payment fee can be added only after 14 days since the invoice is overdue.
